What is the validity of an IEC Code?
Generally, an IEC Code comes with lifetime validity. However, as per recent DGFT guidelines, every IEC holder must update their IEC details electronically every year between April to June, even if there are no changes.
Is Digital Signature (DSC) mandatory for IEC?
Initially, no, a DSC is not strictly mandatory for proprietorship firms if the Aadhaar is linked with the mobile number for OTP verification. On the other hand, for Companies (Pvt Ltd, LLP), a Class 3 DSC of the director/partner is required.
How much time does it take to get the IEC Certificate?
